Congratulations to the boys varsity soccer team for their win over Centennial 1-0. Hayden Partain scored the lone goal. The team is 12-1-3 and 1-0 in District. The boys play Frisco and Newman Smith this week. read more

Soccer - Girls Shut Out Little Elm, Beat McKinney North

The varsity girls moved to 5-0-4 on the season with a dominating 4-0 win in Little Elm on Tuesday, and a 2-1 victory over McKinney North at Wakeland on Friday. At Little Elm, Logan White and Katey Carmichael each scored twice and the team played a strong defensive game to earn their sixth shutout of the season. read more

Wrestling Boys - Weisheit and DeMattia – District Champions!

KJ Weisheit and Michael DeMattia won their respective weight classes on Saturday to win the District 16 Championships. Conner Zimmerman took 2nd place in his weight class. Weisheit, DeMattia and Zimmerman will represent Wakeland at Regionals this weekend at Arlington Martin. read more

Wrestling Girls - Burks, LeMaster, Smith & Draper – District Champions! 2.8.2010

Shaterrain Burks, Mariah LeMaster, Shea Smith and Jocelyn Draper won their respective weight classes on Saturday to win the District 16 Championships. Shannon Jones and Jacque Byrd placed 2nd in their weight classes. read more

Since returning from Christmas, the Wolverines have competed in a dual meet against Richardson Pearce. Even though competing immediately after the holidays can be tough, the Wakeland Swimmers and Divers had a good meet. The boys defeated Pearce 64-33, remaining undefeated in dual meets this year. The girls also won with a score of 58-35. They have one last regular season meet on January 15th before they head into the Championship meet season.

The girls started the season last night with a scrimmage against Denton Guyer and Celina at Wakeland. The first scrimmage was a tough one that ended in a tie 0-0. The second scrimmage the girls dominated Celina by a score of 4-1.

The Wakeland tennis team kicked off the spring season with some very successful results.  WHS defeated 5-A Colleyville Herritage 6 matches to 4.  WHS also placed 3rd as a team at the Flower Mound Marcus Invitational Friday.  read more
