Brent Benningfield stated, "obviously we didn't want our play-off run to end this soon, but if you don't play your best on any given night, it can be over in the blink of an eye!" Head Junior Varsity coach, Blake Reedy, commented, "even though our hearts are heavy with defeat, these players still have a lot to be proud of, no one really gave us a chance at the beginning of the year to even dream at being so successful this season!" Once again, Freshmen coach, Joe Lewis could not be reached for a post-game interview. The Wolverines ended their season 24-8 overall, with a 13-1 record in District 9-4A.
