Under his guidance, the men’s soccer team finished 3rd in District 11-5A last season, with a 16-8-2 record. Because of the team’s success, Coach Oglesby was voted District 11-5A Coach of the Year. This was his third time to receive this distinction. He was also voted Coach of the Year for District 27-4A in 2001 at Marble Falls High School and District 30-4A in 2000 at Beeville A.C. Jones High School after the team won their first district championship.

Coach Oglesby holds a USSF National “D” License and is an active instructor of coaching clinics for the North Texas State Soccer Association. He is the coach of Liverpool FC America ’00 girls and also helps with the ’96 girls. He will also be starting boys teams in the Frisco and The Colony area. Coach Oglesby also serves on the Tim McClements SMU Soccer Clinic staff for camps in the summer. Coach Oglesby also has led a team of coaches to Indonesia to give coaching clinics in the area ravaged by the tsunami and most recently began working with the Haitian National Soccer team to help rebuild their soccer team.

Coach Oglesby attended Hardin-Simmons University where he was a four year letter winner in football. He was an All-American place-kicker as a freshman and also was selected to the All-Conference Team three times. He still holds two school and conference records, and was a member of the National Semi-final team in 1993.

Coach Oglesby was a three year letter winner in soccer at Abilene High School where he was selected to the All-District Team three years. He finished his playing career with 45 goals and captained his team for two seasons.

Coach Oglesby is married to Treci, his wife of 14 years and also a Wakeland girls coach, and has two children in the Frisco school system: Cutter (13) and Chassiti (10). In his little spare time, Coach Oglesby likes to read and play golf!
