Message from Coach Secord: Because I know that many are asking for the information, I wanted to communicate with as many parents and athletes as possible about the first two weeks of practice when we start on August 8th. Because of possible heat related problems, we're going with the following schedule to get the most from our players in order to be as prepared as possible. I will get more specific at our August 6th meeting at 10am. Please note the following so that parents and student-athletes can plan accordingly.
VARSITY/JV - Week 1 August 8th-12th: Arrive at 5:30am / Practice from 6:15-10am (This time block will include practice, conditioning, special teams, and weight lifting.) JV could be finished earlier than 10am.
VARSITY/JV - Week 2 Aug 15th-19th: Arrive at 5:30am / Practice from 6-8am. Varsity will come back in the afternoons to lift or watch film at 3:30pm. JV will not come back in afternoons.
FRESHMAN - Week 1 August 8th-12th: Arrive at 5:30am / Practice from 6:15-9:00am each day. (This time block will include practice, conditioning, and weight lifting.)
FRESHMAN - Week 2 Aug 15th-19th: Arrive at 5:30am / Practice from 6-8am.
Notes:
- Freshman will attend "Freshman Kit Camp" and be excused early on Friday the 12th by 8am. Bring appropriate clothes for this event.
- Picture day will be Saturday, August 20th at 1pm on grass practice fields.
- Varsity "Lock In" is Friday, August 12th from 8:45pm-2:30am (Varsity Only)
- Varsity will have practice EACH SATURDAY of fall practice and all season unless exception is made by Coach Secord. This is from 10am-noon and is a very important time for us in terms of making corrections and getting them ready for the next opponent. |
